Hello from Mozambique
Made it to Maputo, capital city of Mozambique. We left Swaziland around 10:30am and got into Maputo around 3pm.
We felt lucky to get a bed in this busy holiday season, but then, it had been a lucky day. From capital (Mbabane, Swaziland) to capital (Maputo, Mozambique) takes 3 lifts. When we arrived in Mbabane this morning we were immediately offered a free lift to Manzini from a South African minibus driver. From there we paid a surprisingly small sum to reach the Swaziland-Mozambique border at Lomahsha and from there we had another free lift to Maputo.
Which is all very good because Mozambique is very very expensive. We're off to Tofo, Mozambque early tomorrow morning. We'll hang out there through the new year and then its on to Malawi.
