On the way to Tete

Not an exciting photo, but an accurate depiction of my current location. Or at least my location within a tolerance of 2 cell phone towers as I have no signal as I write this around 90km outside of Tete.

We're looking at around a 10am arrival in Tete, the bus left Chimoio at 4:30am. Supposedly its 2 hours to the Malawian border at Zobue and another 2-3 hours to Blantyre from there, but we don't really know when we'll get out of Tete since we have to find a lift first.

We know we can depart at around noon if we can't get out before then. There's a British couple with a pickup about 2 hours behind us that said they'd take us to the Malawian border with them if we got stuck in Tete. However for the 400km to Tete from Chimoio you don't really want to be in the back of a truck. Massively potholed roads and wildly uneven bridge gaps are spine jarring even on a bus and very dangerous in the bed of a truck.
